Abstract
Ovaj završni rad govori o uličnoj umjetnosti koja se u posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća istakla kao popularna vrsta umjetnosti koja nastaje u javnom prostoru. Možemo je promatrati kao način izražavanja koji umjetnicima omogućuje da se predstave najširoj mogućoj publici i da na nju djeluju specifičnim sadržajem svojih poruka. Isto tako, uličnu umjetnost možemo gledati i kao oblik vandalizma. Ipak, ulična umjetnost nije samo jedan među mnogim načinima samoizražavanja, već poseban oblik komunikacije koji se događa u svakodnevnom urbanom okruženju i čija je poruka dostupna svima i u svakom trenutku. Time se ulična umjetnost suprotstavlja konvencionalnim oblicima umjetnosti prezentiranima kroz muzeje i galerije. Preuzimajući neke tehnike tradicionalne likovne umjetnosti i novih medija, ulični umjetnici eksperimentiraju tim tehnikama nastojeći pronaći nove načine enkodiranja i prenošenja poruke do krajnjeg promatrača. Osim estetske svrhe, ulična umjetnost ima i onu praktičnu, a to je utjecaj na promatrača i aktivno sudjelovanje u društvenom dijalogu. Cilj je ovog rada, na primjerima nekih poznatih uličnih umjetnika, kako inozemnih tako i domaćih, pokazati zašto uličnu umjetnost možemo smatrati vrstom političkog aktivizma i posebnim oblikom komunikacije.
Abstract (english)
This final work is about street art, which has emerged in the last few decades as a popular type of art that is created in the public space. We can observe it as a way of expression that allows artists to present themselves to the widest possible audience and to interact with the specific content of their messages. Likewise, street art can be seen as a form of vandalism. Yet street art is not just one of many ways of self-expression, but a special form of communication that occurs in the everyday urban environment, and whose message is accessible to everyone and at all times. In this way, street art faces conventional forms of art presented through museums and galleries. Taking some techniques of traditional art and new media, street artists experiment with these techniques, trying to find new ways of encoding and transmitting the message to the observer. In addition to aesthetic purpose, street art also has practical purpose - as an influence on the observer and active participation in social dialogue. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate why street manners can be considered as a kind of political activism and a special form of communication in the examples of some famous street artists, both foreign and domestic.
