Abstract
Grad Zagreb je glavni grad Hrvatske te je svake godine sve traženija turistička destinacija. Broj turista raste, unatoč pandemiji koja je prisutna u cijelom svijetu. Zbog svoje svog geografskog položaja, prometne povezanosti i bogate povijesti zanimljiv je turistima bez obzira s kojeg kontinenta dolaze. Ovaj rad prikazat će sve karakteristike turizma u Zagrebu te će biti prikazan i prijedlog strategije za daljnji razvoj turističke ponude na primjeru manifestacijskog turizma. Organiziranje događanja proširuje turističku ponudu i donosi dolazak potencijalnih turista ili produljuje njihov ostanak u destinaciji.
Abstract (english)
The city of Zagreb is the capital of Croatia and is more popular tourist destination from year to year. The number of tourists is growing, despite the pandemic that is present all over the world. Due to its geographical position, traffic connections and rich history, it is interesting for tourists, regardless of which continent they come from. This paper will show all the characteristics of tourism in Zagreb and will also present a strategy proposal for the further development of the tourist offer using the example of event tourism. Organizing events expands the tourist offer and brings the arrival of potential tourists or prolongs their stay in the destination.
