There are more entrepreneurs today than there ever was before, and we can notice an increasing number of people trying their hand in entrepreneurship to achieve thier goals and dreams. Globalisation made the world more connected, information is easier to find than ever, the global market is significantly better linked, and entrepreneurs have it easier today than ever to try to achieve independent success on the market. In this paper we will explain what entrepreneurs actually do, and how entrepreneurs are created. Starting from the beginnings of entrepreneurship and its early conceptions up to today's concept of entrepreneurship. We will start with the development of psychology and see how it can help us understand the entrepreneurs, their qualities and the ways they work. Through the theories and the notions of some of the most influential psychologists like Maslow, we will try to understand the motivations and needs of people in general and redirect them to the concept of a successful entrepreneur today. Furthermore, we will also go through some of the key features that make successful entrepreneurs and try to give a framework picture of today's successful entrepreneurs
