Abstract
Inteligencija se definira kao sposobnost brzog i učinkovitog snalaženja u novim i nepoznatim situacijama i lako bi se moglo pomisliti da visoka inteligencija omogućava osobi uspjeh u društvu, no brojna istraživanja ukazuju da kvocijent inteligencije nije mjerilo uspjeha pojedinca. Emocije u poslovanju, odnosno emocionalna inteligencija zauzela je visoku poziciju ključnog faktora za ostvarenje životnih ciljeva i uzlazne putanje na društvenoj ljestvici. Opća inteligencija i emocionalna inteligencija su isprepletene te su bitne za snalaženje u svakodnevnom životu i razumijevanju vlastitih postupaka. Emocionalna inteligencija ujedno je bitan faktor samomotiviranja, motivacije drugih, uspješne komunikacije, stvaranju pozitivnog ozračja u međuljudskim odnosima te prepoznavanja situacija i trenutaka koji su ključni za vlastiti napredak i razvoj. Tema ovog završnog rada pod nazivom "Emocionalna inteligencija u poslovanju" govori o emocionalnoj inteligenciji kao nadogradnji racionalne inteligencije – intelekta pojedinca budući da naglašava karakteristike poput sposobnosti i snalaženja u raznim okolnostima i situacijama sa različitim individuama, poput komunikacijskih vještina, prilagodljivosti, samokontrole te potencijala za liderstvo.
Abstract (english)
Intelligence is defined as the ability of quickly and effectively coping with new and unfamiliar situations and we could easily might think that high intelligence allows a person success in society, but numerous studies indicate that the IQ is not a measure of success of an individual. Emotions in business or emotional intelligence has taken a high position as a key factor for life goals achieving and social ladder climbing. General intelligence and emotional intelligence are entangled and are essential for coping with everyday life and understanding of their own actions. Emotional intelligence is also an important factor of self-motivating, motivation of others, effective communication, creating a positive atmosphere in relationships and to recognizing situations and moments that are crucial for their own progress and development. This final thesis titled "Emotional Intelligence in Business" is about emotional intelligence as upgrade of rational intelligence or intellect of an individual and ability to cope in different circumstances and situations with different individuals, such as communication skills, flexibility, self-control and the potential for leadership.
