Abstract (english) The modernization of technology is getting stronger and more advanced every day and is present in every segment of life. The media become one of the most important factors in socialization and influence social behavior, forming attitudes and identities, creating vision of the world and life. Young people are the not vulnerable group on whom the media has great influence. The media are „creators“ of attitudes and behavior among young people and as a reason for this they can leave behind a mark or as a consequence, mental ilnesses (anxiety, depression). Digital media enable young people to communicate which cannot be controlled and because of this certain problems arise. During the pancemic, social networks have become an incresingly common place for entertainment, information and maintaining contacts. The increased use of them has resulted ina n increase in mental illnesses – depresion and anxiety have become common. Everyone has access to media, be in traditional media or new media, and digital technologies give access to anyone to edit a media text or article. The pandemis as such has provided people's opinions and they are different but but according to all the information given to us and which are available, it is impossible to know which one is true. According to the research conducted for the purpose of writing a thesis, the results show that young people use digital technologies more, but express distrust towards them, ie the media. As for socialization, the research shows that the use of mobile devices while socializing with people is a common phenomenon, but if we look in depth, we conclude that the same can negatively affect emotions, which later results in more serious problems. In the same way, the media significantly affects concentration and self-confidence. The influence of the media is significant, and it is necessary to know how to protect yourself from them if it is in a negative sense, and to know how to use the positive sides that they provide us.
