Radom se analiziraju umjetnička ostvarenja kako internacionalnih tako i nacionalnih umjetnika unutar raznovrsnih žanrova i medija djelovanja; književnost, strip, klasična glazba, kazalište, likovnost i performans. Naglasak rada je fokusiran pretežito na ostvarenja suvremenih umjetnika; M. Gavran, S. Cariello, F. Parać, K. Livljanić, D. Popović, L. Zappije i B. Senkera ali prilikom spomenute analize zastupljeni su i radovi; M. Marulića, O. Wildea, M. Krleže i D. Gervaisa. Glavna ideja rada je analizom sadržaja ustvrditi što spomenuti autori pri interpretaciji teme ženskog lika kao izvršitelja čina dekapitacije preuzimaju citatom ili referencom iz kanona i tradicije a što ostvaruju kao vlastito autorsko viđenje i doprinos pri narativu teme ženskog lika kao izvršitelja čina dekapitacije. Radom se analizira posebnost u načinu kojim pojedini umjetnik rabi svojstva medija u kojem stvara pri interpretaciji teme ženskog lika kao izvršitelja čina dekapitacije, odnosno kojim specifičnim izražajnim datostima stvaralačkog medija evocira vlastite umjetničke aspiracije teme ženskog lika kao izvršitelja čina dekapitacije. Radom se analizira dovitljivost i kreativnost spomenutih umjetnika koje dolaze kao odgovor pri promišljanju, iznalaženju i implementaciji novih rješenja uslijed zatečenih potencijalnih ograničenja stvaralačkog medija. Radom se analizira širi tradicijski i kulturološki kontekst u kojem nastaju umjetnička ostvarenja autora zastupljenih u radu. Radom se analizira orijentiranost pojedinih autora obuhvaćenih radom ka marketabilnosti, odnosno njihov rad se može promotriti kao odgovor na potrebe tržišta, dok u pojedinim ostvarenjima prisustvo estradne zvijezde služi u promocijske svrhe, odnosno za povećanje medijske vidljivosti i imidža umjetnika kao i umjetničke institucije koja djelo prezentira zainteresiranoj javnosti.
Abstract (english) In the final thesis Female character as the executor of the act of decapitation, within the scope of the encompassed content, the author analyses the approaches and realizations through authorial interpretation by referencing the theme of the female character as the executor of the act of decapitation originating in the biblical tales of Judith, Mary Magdalene and Salome. The work analyses the artistic achievements of international and national artists across genres and media; literature, comic, classical music, theatre, visual arts and performance. The main part of the thesis is mostly focused on the works of modern artists; M. Gavran, S. Cariello, F. Parać, K. Livljanić, D. Popović, L. Zappia and B. Senker, and yet during the before mentioned analysis also takes account of the works of M. Marulić, O. Wilde, M. Krleža and D. Gervais.
The main objective of the thesis by way of analysis of its contents, is to ascertain what the mentioned authors have, through the exploration of the theme of the female character as the executor of the act of decapitation, attained via citation or reference of the canon and tradition and what they have presented as their own authorial vision and contribution to the theme of the female character as the executor of the act of decapitation. The thesis analyses the ingenuity and creativity of the before mentioned authors which is denoted as a response to the deliberation, discovery and implementation of new solutions to the existing potential limitations of the creative medium. The thesis investigates the wide scope of traditional and cultural contexts in which the authors have created their works.
The thesis also examines the motivation of certain authors towards the marketability, i.e. how their works could be viewed as an answer to the needs of the market, since in certain works, the presence of a pop star is used in promotional purposes, i.e. to increase media visibility and image of the artist as an artistic institution which presents its work to the interested public.
