Abstract
Mediji su sastavni dio svijeta današnjice, u mnogome kreiraju trendove, javni život, zabavu, utječu na komunikaciju, a njihovo korištenje dovodi do izgradnje društvenog identiteta i novih društvenih oblika pa i osobnih želja i preferencija. Mediji imaju veliki utjecaj na gospodarstvo, znanost, politiku, kulturu i dr. Imaju važnu ulogu u konstituiranju sociokulturne diferencijacije i utječu na svijet djece i mladih ljudi i formiranje njihova identiteta. Zbog toga je i razumljivo da često izazivaju i interes istraživanja o njihovoj mogućnosti utjecanja na razvoj čovjeka, posebice u ranoj dobi. Na početku 21. stoljeća djeca odrastaju u društvu elektroničkih medija, koji izazivaju velike promjene u ponašanjima, međuljudskim odnosima i komunikaciji, posebice među mlađim naraštajima.
Abstract (english)
Media are an integral part of today's world, in many ways they create trends, public life, entertainment, influence communication, and their use leads to the construction of social identity and new social forms, as well as personal desires and preferences. The media have a great influence on the economy, science, politics, culture, etc. They play an important role in constituting socio-cultural differentiation and influence the world of children and youth and the formation of their identity. It is therefore understandable that they often arouse interest in research on their potential impact on human development, especially at an early age. At the beginning of the 21st century, children grow up in the society of electronic media, which causes great changes in behavior, interpersonal relationships and communication, especially among the younger generations.
