Cyberbullying is the english term, which has become familiar in our country, for violence over the Internet, or electronic violence. It is a form of communication activity with cyber technology that aims to do harm to an individual or group of individuals. This form of violence between children and young people includes situations in which one child or boy or girl is exposed to attack by other children or boys and girls via the Internet or mobile phone. What is characteristic of this type of violence is that it can take place constantly, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, that it can be anonymous and that the perpetrators can remain unknown forever. It is also characteristic that it causes great psychophysical problems in the victim, especially because they are young people in development. The subject of this paper is cyberbullying. The paper will present, among other things, social relations today in the context of digital media, the positive and negative impact of the media, the Internet and digital communication tools and the problem of cyberbullying. The aim of this paper is to present the great role and importance that development, globalization and the media play in people’s lives, as well as the problems they cause such as cyberbullying.
