Abstract
U ovom diplomskom radu analiziraju se izazovi međunarodnog priznanja Republike Hrvatske od strane određenih zemalja. Diplomski rad obuhvaća tematske cjeline kojima se pokušava objasniti proces priznanja, kao i pitanje prestanka priznanja koje nije nemoguće. Također se ukratko govori o raspadu Jugoslavije te koliko je srpski nacionalizam potaknut Memorandumom „Srpske Akademije Nauka i Umjetnosti“ utjecao na to. U ovoj točki se također govori o uspostavi demokratske vlasti u RH te koliko je teško to bilo omogućiti. Spominju se i neke točke Domovinskog rata kao što su „Balvan revolucija“, naoružavanje Hrvatske, bitka za Vukovar te operacije Bljesak i Oluja. Glavni dio ovog rada je dio međunarodnog priznanja, dio u kojem se analizira odnos Republike Hrvatske u tadašnje vrijeme sa bitnim zemljama kao što su Njemačka, SAD i Velika Britanija na putu priznanja te koliko je teško bilo ishoditi međunarodno priznanje kao takvo.
Abstract (english)
This thesis analyzes the challenges of international recognition of the Republic of Croatia by certain countries. It includes thematic units that try to explain the theory of recognition, as well as the issue of the termination of recognition, which is not impossible. It also briefly talks about the breakup of Yugoslavia and how much Serbian nationalism, encouraged by the SANU Memorandum, affected it. This point also talks about the establishment of democratic government in the Republic of Croatia, and how difficult it was to make it possible. Some points of the Homeland War are also mentioned, such as the Balvan revolution, the arming of Croatia, the battle for Vukovar, and the Flash and Storm operations. The main part of this paper is the part of international recognition, the part in which the relationship of the Republic of Croatia at that time with important countries such as Germany, USA, and Great Britain on the way to recognition is analyzed and how difficult it was to obtain international recognition as such.
