The theme of the dissertation is: “The Internet and mobile banking in the Republic of Croatia”. Technological development in the field of information technology and telecommunications in recent years affected the development of the banking industry, primarily in the manner of delivery of financial services. Banks are trying to meet technological advances adopt new strategies to meet to needs of its customers and offer them better products and services while reducing operational cost. Mobile banking involves the use of mobile devices to provide banking services such as: access to account balances, review of previously completed transactions, transfer funds between accounts, warning of the change of account, an order for payment, trade actions, information on interest rates, exchange rates and the like. Devices that are used for mobile Internet access are: Notebook, PDA, tablets, mobile phones, smart phone. The main characteristic of these devices is that they are portable and available at any time and at any place. Mobile services have added an element of mobility convection electronic banking services that can be realized through social networks. As the number of smart phone users who have access to the Internet banks are increasingly opting for the delivery of banking services via mobile devices.
