The path of the independence of the Republic of Croatia was characterized by longevity, with many material and human casualties in the Homeland War, and the consequences of war are felt in many parts of the country even today. Since independence, the political scene of the Republic of Croatia was marked by the parties of the strong left and right of the center, so that, after 2000, the political scene of the Republic of Croatia split up to a large number of smaller parties and began the period of loss of primacy by then almost indefensible right in favor of numerous new parties, left and right coalition and center with smaller parties started. The diversity of the political scene of the Republic of Croatia is a relatively new phenomenon, and the decisive role for the development and prosperity of the Republic of Croatia from the independence to the present day has political communication that has determined for two decades of independence the ruling power, dictated the way of communication of individuals on common knowledge that arises as the fruit of communication. Unlike the concept of mass communication, which represents a process of targeted one-way flow of information, the notion of political communication, especially in democratic societies, involves the interrelationships of factors in political processes, methods and ways of transmitting information. Political communication is an area that involves a complex whole between political actors, the media and the public in all forms of communication and as such is the foundation of the political scene and the development of society.
