Mass media can be identified as a different kind of social institution which is characterized by a impartial view, that deals with information publicly and instantaneously directed to a large heterogeneous and divers society. Today's media uses new methods in approaching negative news, people or events. The media is not by itself inherit god or evil, and its primary goal is not to promote violence. One can argue that the media is a positive phenomena. Great expectations are placed on the media that enrich our lives, change bad habits or bad behavior, inspire creativity, decrees the class differences and contribute to a more progressive and civil society. On the other hand, there is great concern that the media can damage the senses, impair creativity, desensitize, cause a decay of moral values and contribute to the alienation from society and ones one culture. There is no increase in the quantity of violence in the media, but there is a change in its presentation, which has resulted in a change of the public's attitude towards violence.
