Abstract
Persuazija je jedan od oblika interpersonalne komunikacije kojemu je cilj uvjeriti drugu stranu ili druge dionike u komunikacijskom procesu u određene ideje ili pak angažirati drugu stranu da promisli o argumentima koji joj se nude. Iako kao i komunikacija pretpostavlja dvosmjerni proces, persuazija to ne mora nužno biti, a to se najčešće događa kada je jedna strana u komunikacijskom procesu dominantnija. Na ishod persuazije često utječu brojni čimbenici poput kognitivnih sposobnosti, povoljnih i nepovoljnih misli, otpora pojedinca koji se uvjerava, zatim okoline, komunikacijskog stila i komunikacijskih obrazaca, tj. tehnika utjecanja na druge. Rad razmatra persuaziju u različitim kontekstima: oglašavačkoj industriji te politici, dvama područjima koja su najizloženija ovom obliku komunikacije, ali i područjima kojima je javnost često (ne)svjesno izložena kako u svakodnevnom životu, tako i putem medija. Konačno, rad analizira i određena etička pitanja u persuaziji pokazujući kako se moć uvjeravanja ne mjeri samo ispunjavanjem zadanoga cilja, već i stupnjem povjerenja, tj. vjerodostojnosti koju uvjeravatelj ostavlja na druge.
Abstract (english)
Persuasion is one form of the interpersonal communication which has goal to persuade other side or other participants in communication process into certain idea or engage other side to think about the arguments that are offered. Although communication is a two way process, persuasion is not necessarily so. This normally occurs when one side in the communications process dominates. On outcome of persuasion often affects numerous factors such as cognitive abilities, favorable and unfavorable thoughts, resistance of individual who assures himself, environment, communication style and pattern, such as technique of influencing others. Thesis observes persuasion in different contexts: advertising industries and politics, two areas which are most exposed to this kind of communication, but also in areas which population is often (un)conscious exposed in everyday life and through media. Finally, paper also analyses certain ethic questions in persuasion showing how power of assuring is not measured just by fulfilling certain goal but also with degree of trust, such as credibility which assurer leaves on others.
