Abstract
Cilj rada je istražiti na koji način, i u kojoj mjeri, anglizmi utječu na hrvatski jezik. Osnovno je polazište u radu da je jezik otvoreni sustav koji se dopunjuje stranim riječima. Budući da je jezik, osim što je sredstvo sporazumijevanja i simboličko sredstvo za izražavanje nacionalnog identiteta, zadaća je jezikoslovaca, među ostalim, očuvati jezik od tuđica. Početna hipoteza u radu jest da mladi pokazuju najveću otvorenost prema uporabi anglizama. Stoga smo anketu, kao odabranu metodu... More prikupljanja podataka, proveli upravo među mladima u dobi od 15 do 31 godine. Online anketni upitnik proveden je u razdoblju od 1. rujna 2020. godine do 15. rujna 2020. godine. Istraživanje je provedeno na uzorku od 110 ispitanika. Rezultati ankete potvrdili su da je pojava jezičnog posuđivanja uvelike prisutna u jeziku mladih. Istraživanje je pokazalo čestu uporabu anglizama i pomanjkanje interesa za stvaranje novih hrvatskih riječi među mladima. Rezultati su također pokazali da mladi ne osjećaju potrebu da se engleskim riječima koje nemaju hrvatske istoznačnice nađu zamjene hrvatskim izrazima. Također se jasno može uočiti kako velik broj ispitanika ne pokazuje svijest o čestoj uporabi anglizama u svakodnevnom govoru među vršnjacima kao i u kućanstvu, što je pokazatelj kako anglizmi u jezičnoj praksi mladih sve više potiskuju hrvatske riječi. Zaključak je našeg istraživanja da razvoj tehnologije prati sve veći jaz između napora jezikoslovaca za očuvanjem čistoće hrvatskog jezika i jezične prakse mladih na društvenim mrežama i u svakodnevnom životu. Spoznaja nakon provedenog istraživanja je da mladi čistoću jezika ne doživljavaju kao ključni dio identiteta te da bi trend preuzimanja anglizama, koji ide ukorak s tehnološkim dostignućima, mogao predstavljati teško premostivu barijeru među naraštajima. Abstract (english)
The objective of this paper is to analyze how, and to what extent, English has an impact on the Croatian language. The basic starting point in the paper is that language is an open system complemented by foreign words. Apart from being a means of communication and a symbolic means of expressing national identity, language is the concern of linguists whose task is, among other things, to preserve the language from foreign influence. Therefore, the survey, as the chosen method of data collection, was conducted among young people. Therefore, the questionnaire, as the chosen method of data collection, was conducted among young people aged 15 to 31 years. The online questionnaire was performed in the period from September 1, 2020 to September 15, 2020. The research was conducted on a sample of 110 respondents. The results of the survey confirmed the frequent use of English and lack of interest in creating new Croatian words. The results also showed that young people do not feel the need to find replacements with Croatian expressions for English words that do not have Croatian equivalents. It can also be clearly seen that a large number of respondents are not aware of the use of English in everyday speech among peers as well as in their household, which shows that English words increasingly suppress Croatian equivalents. The conclusion of our research is that the development of technology is accompanied by a growing gap between the efforts of linguists to preserve the purity of the Croatian language and the language practice of young people on social networks.
