Taking words lightly and using them recklessly remain a prevalent phenomenon in today's postmodern culture, where the destructive nature of such an act is hidden under the guise of freedom of speech, as one of the fundamental human rights. We ask ourselves the question: How is it possible that today, when advocacy for freedom of speech reaches its peak in human history, it simultaneously suffers from an exponential increase in hate speech? Taking into account the fact that man represents a pillar of society, and the disharmony in communication results in the creation of a deep gap in interpersonal relations, the aforementioned issue carries a high price for the future of the entire human race. This indicates that we are in a time in which it is urgent to carry out a revolutionary turnover in communication, because it is an undeniable fact that a society that cannot communicate properly cannot even survive. In this context, this paper will try to answer the following question: Do all spoken words have the same power of action? Through detailed argumentation and interdisciplinary approach, we will examine the evidence that says that all words do not have the same power but are a double-edged sword with two competing powers of action - the power of life and death. Furthermore, faced with cognitive, moral and cultural relativism of today, we will prove that it is possible to know that there exists the essential meaning behind the existence of words. Realizing that it is so, we come to the conclusion that precisely in this realization lies the only effective solution for bridging the resulting gap in the world of communication.
