In last years, we are the witnesses for more higer economical importance of tourism in Croatian counties. By its activities, the tourism brings a certain profit to Međimurje county but also to people who show their products during the event. At the same time, such event makes pleasure for people, they are happy and enjoy the content they offer. One of the great examples is Porcijunkulovo which is held every year in August. Then, the streets and the square in the centre of Čakovec city become vivious. For such event, it takes extensive preparations which include a team of people. Thanks to the interview with Čakovec Tourist Board asistant director, it is got an insight into the planning and management of Porcijunkulovo. The subject matter is the Porcijunkulovo event in Međimurje county. The main objective is to comprehend the role and importance of Porcijunkulovo event for Međimurje county and beyond. The secondary objective is to comprehend the meaning of culture tourism in general. This work is divided into two parts. The first part is concerned with event planning, development of planning concept, marketing, promotion and evaluation of an event. Beside planning it is also explained management of event just like what kind of events, the historical development of management and organizational team. The second part is concerned with Porcijunkulovo event ‘s analysis with event concept, event design, the purpose and topic of event, place and time of the event, public, audience composition and the form of promotion. Porcijunkulovo event is not only event- it much more- connect people and enables them good party, new acquaintances and new business opportunities.
